Iranian diaspora rally in Brussels on the occasion of 1979 revolution


Supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Brussels Warn about the unprecedented wave of executions in Iran in the shadow of the war in the region

Event:

On the anniversary of the 1979 revolution in Iran, supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Brussels protested and urged the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. NCRI supporters also highlighted the escalating executions in Iran and the burgeoning conflict in the region.

NCRI supporters have set up an exhibition showcasing the victims of Iranian regime atrocities. Alongside, stands feature Ms. Maryam Rajavi’s ten-point plan, advocating for a free, democratic, secular, and non-nuclear Iran. Additionally, NCRI supporters in Brussels are calling on European countries to activate the snapback mechanism under the JCPOA, push for placing the Iranian regime under Chapter 7 of the UN charter, and recognize the right of the Iranian people to resist and overthrow the oppressive rule of the mullahs.

Speeches:

Senator Mark Demesmaeker (N-VA) joined the rally and in his speech denounced the role of the Iranian regime in escalation in the region and pointed out the role of Iran in meddling in the war in Ukraine with supporting Putin and providing drones to Russia. He also admired the role of the resistance of Iran, the NCRI and MEK for their tireless fight for freedom and democracy in Iran and enlightening Europeans with holding conferences, rallies, publications, etc.

Marc-Jean Ghyssels (PS) was another Belgian member of Brussels Parliament who joined the protests and commemorated the victims of the September 2022 uprising, he also supported the resistance of Iran’s demand to designate IRGC as a terrorist organization and the establishment of a free Iran. instead of the religious fascist mullahs in power.
